Colorkitties Piano and Musickid's Color Method came from a desire to see young children and all ages find it fun and easy to learn to read the notes. Piano, guitar, ukulele, recorder, have the same notes too and we have used this method in private lessons and in the classroom with great success for years. Kids and parents love how easy it is to learn to play songs successfully in minutes!

Our Mission
Musickid's Color Method was created by Genevieve Hunter and Lisa Sipponen: the original "Music Moms." Genevieve and Lisa have been best friends ever since they met in Kamloops Senior Secondary School Band in 1989! They have supported each other through child-raising years, career changes, and all of life's ups and downs. With
Musickid's Color Method, these friends have formed the ultimate collaboration resulting from years of dedication, hard work and most importantly, a love of children and music.
Colorkitties Piano is our preschool launch for young children to help them have a fun and engaging introduction to learning piano and rhythm. Genevieve and her daughter Rachel came up with the concepts, art, and kitty cat ears on the notes. Seven cute kitties bringing songs and musical concepts to life. We have tried a few versions and will be adding new books soon!
